De Groene Afslag is a unique third place located in Bussum, in the Netherlands — a former military site transformed into a vibrant meeting space where people gather to rethink the world. Combining a vegan restaurant, creative workspaces, cultural programming, and learning initiatives, the place brings together art, sustainability, and community to inspire new ways of living and working.

For this project, the brief was to create a brand film that captures the unconventional spirit of the place. The visual direction embraces the playful and experimental identity of De Groene Afslag, highlighting its mix of creativity, sustainability, and collective energy.

The motion design integrates collage-inspired elements, crafted textures, and paper-like animations to create a handmade aesthetic. The client asked for something goofy and lighthearted, reflecting the joyful atmosphere of the venue while reinforcing its mission to inspire change.
